Tim,
I finally got a site up and running.
The first thing I appreciated, was that you did the video
with Windows
Media Player. A nice full screen in which to be able
to see what you were doing. Nothing irritates me more than
have to download a "special"
player
in order to watch a video. Most people have Windows Media
Player, but nope, there's a dozen that others prefer for one
reason or another.
It was nice that I was able to play the video on a
split screen
along with the website I was working on. I'd watch the
video and then do the exact same thing on the web site.
Your speech in the video was a nice constant pace. It's
hard following someone who speaks too fast, which I'm one.
Your pace was perfect.
I really like the idea that you broke the videos down into
three segments. It was easier to watch one video, take a
break and absorb the information. Then move onto another
video, take a break and absorb the information, etc. And
then being able to go back and re-watch and pick up what was
missed the first time.
Following the video was much nicer than reading a manual.
You showed each step that was necessary for each function.
The majority of learners are visual learners, along with
tactile learners. Your videos accommodates both of
those types of learners. This is from a former
special ed
teacher. You did extremely well in your
presentation and method of presentation.
Along with teaching how to use
WordPress,
the videos gave presentations of a few other programs to
use. The videos taught me more than just how to use
WordPress. I'm impressed with the videos and delighted that
I ended up learning more than just WordPress.
The videos gave me confidence to play with the WordPress
plugins to be able to understand how they work and why they
work. I used FrontPage when it first came out and was good
with it. Then I took undergraduate classes in Fortran and
Pascal. Lately I've been using Expression Web 2 for
websites. Yet, I still wanted to learn how to use WordPress
due to the enormous number of wonderful plugins. I couldn't
find any one place to teach me how to use it. Your videos
taught me the basics, which broke the inhibitions and
hesitation I had to really tackle WordPress.
You also gave me ideas how to use with other programs I
have. I'm so excited. I feel like a child who is riding
their bicycle for the first time without
training
wheels. What an exhilarating feeling!
My first site is up and running. Your videos have given me
enough information and confidence to be able to go in and
fine tune the site and expand it without the videos.
I would really recommend that you produce a series for
videos on WordPress. Find some of the more complicated
plugins and widgets and build-on the basic program. One of
the problems I had was that there wasn't one central place
to get the information I needed to understand, install and
use WordPress from A to Z. All of the sites jumped around
and gave no straight line instructions. That's very
frustrating, especially to a former teacher.
If you ever need me to provide testimonials, other than
this, just let me know. I'm so grateful to you. I have read
and struggled to learn WordPress, but the information is
piece-mealed, choppy and incomplete that I just couldn't
grasp the various concepts each person was trying to teach.
With your videos I was able to learn and understand what to
do and why to do it.
Whenever you need a guinea pig, just let me know. You have
no idea how much I appreciate you teaching me WordPress.

The K.I.S.S. formula (Keep it simple stupid) is the way I like it. These Wordpress videos are not just for newbies. If you are like me, I prefer to learn visually through step by step video's. You have produced a great set of video's, there is no way that you can not learn this in a day and start blogging and making money. I have been running a business on the Internet for over 12 years and can say honestly this is by far, the best tutorials I have seen. TJ you make it easy to learn
P.S. I rarely give testimonials but your videos were worth every penny and I would recommend them to people who are beginners or people like myself who are very busy running their businesses and want a fast and easy way to learn. First of all, I am a
COMPLETE newbie and I'm not ashamed to say that (although
everyone seems to think Wordpress is so easy) I was
petrified to install and set up a site using it. Not without
some hand-holding.
I actually had my wordpress installation done as part of a
WSO but I still have to post content and make changes from
time to time. I needed to get comfortable with the WP
platform...and fast!
So I searched for a tutorial product that would
"show-and-tell" me how to get started in Wordpress from
installation to posting to tweaking and more.
I have only completed viewing the first 2 videos (just over
an hour) and did not want to go through all 10 before coming
on here to tell you how excited I was about what I'm
learning. Already, I feel confident that I can do this. I
really like Tim's WordPress Tutorial Video for Newbies.
The videos make learning easy and fun. Tim's teaching style
is warm and patient; his voice relaxes you into a state of
receptivity which is conducive to retaining what you've
learned.
I like the set up of the presentations; the natural
progression of the topics and the bite-size treatments. Be
prepared to take notes; you'll learn a lot. The only thing
that would have made this the WSO of a lifetime would have
been a pdf overview with screen shots but, heck, for the
asking price, I'm just picking nits here. Tim has gone above
and beyond for the value he provides.
I could go on and on but suffice it to say, whether you are
a newbie or have some experience and want to hone up your WP
skills, I highly recommend you take advantage of this great
WSO.

When you stated we'd have access to over 100 Videos, I thought that we would have a list of Videos, and that we would have to muddle through them in order to find the ones we wanted to view.
I was wrong. You really put a lot of time into this. Basically we're directed to a membership site where all the Videos are available on the right-hand side of the page in alphabetical order listing everything from Wordpress installation (to get things rolling), to installing Themes, adding ECommerce plugins to your site, ways to monetize your blog, adding photo gallery plugins, and even adding a real estate plugin if you so wanted to. ... and these were just the tip of the iceberg to all the Videos that you have here. One area (Build a Blog from Start to Finish) has 10 Videos, while Wordpress SEO has 40 Videos !
On the left-hand side there are a huge amount of bonus videos, along with bonus downloads and even entire bonus courses. Very cool ! Basically, if I was to get stuck on anything while working with Wordpress... you have a Video available to walk me through to a Solution.
